ABOUT mariaAPARTMENTS

HOTELMARIA & mariaAPPARTMENTS

A family business... a philosophy of life.

Maria Geisler is a trained tax consultant and founder of HOTELMARIA. Johannes is designer. Together they set up new projects like the mariaAPPARTMENTS.

Our little son successfully prevents us from losing focus on the essentials.

Of course we would like to take this opportunity to thank our craftsmen. Especially our incredible bricklayer Tamas Glück.

Preserving instead of tearing away.

Design. Planning, implementation, setting. It's possible with the right people. Thanks to my most loyal craftsman, Tamas Glück, for his motivating way of doing things.

ABOUT mariaAPARTMENTS

mariaAPARTMENTS

...is a realized project by Johannes and Maria Geisler.

The house, which is located next to the HOTELMARIA, was bought, renovated, rebuilt and the living space doubled, in which we also excavated the basement, laid new foundations and can therefore use it again.

Economical and ecological

Thanks to the double living space on the same floor and a new division of the rooms in the house, 4 apartments, 1 loft and 3 double rooms could be gained. The studios are rented daily and form an upscale category of HOTELMARIA.

Sustainable materials

Mainly natural materials were used in the exterior and interior. Outside, used rubble stones were used for the paving of the paths and the parking lot. Gravel and free laying or self-supporting substructures on the terraces guarantee natural drainage without built-up areas.

What does the sea have to do with this house and the flagstones?

The real sandstone from broken slabs from the St. Margareten quarry is the highlight of the house. It was used to fortify the slopes of the terraces. Shells can still be found in it, which refer to the area of the house that was once the sea.

solar power

A solar system, which was taken over from the old building, takes over the hot water preparation as far as possible and can also contribute energy for the underfloor heating installed in the basement. A new exterior facade and attic insulation keep the house nice and warm or cool.

Inside, a real oak floor was laid, the bathroom consists of ceramic tiles and lots of glass. The walls were also partly covered with wood. The idea was to use as little plastic as possible. The substructure of the floor is also made of wooden panels. The walls were left as they were, but broken through where new rooms were created.

FAMILY BUSINESS

We are not a hotel chain. We are family run and proud of it. We rely on employees and craftsmen from the region.
